Presentation
This course is designed for people wishing to prepare for and take the Test de Connaissance du Français (TCF), and more specifically the Intégration Résidence et Naturalisation (IRN) option.
The TCF IRN covers levels A1, A2 and B1 as defined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. It can be used for
- an application for French nationality (level B1),
- an application for a long-term resident’s card (level A2),
- validation of A1 level as part of the OFII citizenship programme.
Prerequisites
- Be over 16 years of age
- Hold a valid identity document
- Have the level of French required for the course objectives

Methodology
The preparation course and the test are given in a group, face-to-face setting.
Preparation:
- Course given by a TCF-accredited trainer from France Éducation International.

The aim of this preparation course is to give you a good understanding of the exam, how it works and what is expected of you.
All the teachers on this course are perfectly familiar with each of the tests for the different diplomas and will be able to answer any questions you may have.
The aim of this preparation course is to work on oral and written strategies, methodology and instructions. It’s also a unique opportunity to try out real exam subjects! Throughout the course, your teacher will give you personalised advice to help you improve your results.
The course includes a one-to-one session to prepare for the oral production section.

Methodology
The preparation course takes place mainly in groups but also includes a one-to-one session.

- Written comprehension training
- Written production training
Individual session:

During preparation, advice and preparation strategies are given, as well as exercises to do independently.
Assessment methods
Assessment is carried out throughout the course by means of a DELF mock test, which will be marked and graded in the same way as a real exam.
